Dear Church Members, Brothers and Sisters in Christ and Friends,
Re: Update On The Progress Of The New Church Building Project
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are pleased to inform you that as at 18.2.2009 we have, by God’s grace and guidance, managed to raise a sum of RM1,713,743.82 for our Building Fund, the details are as follows:-
Building Fund (as at 18.02.2009)
A. Donations collected: RM 723,314.13
B. Church accumulated cash reserve
(as at 31.12.2008): RM 504,448.82
C. Sub-total (A + B): RM1,227,762.82
D. Donations pledged: RM 712,800.00
E. Monies already collected from
pledged donation: RM 226,819.00
F. Monies yet to be collected from
pledged donation (D – E): RM 485,981.00
G. Total of donations collected, Church cash reserve and
unpaid pledged donation (C + F): RM1,713,743.82
H. Estimated costs for the Church Building Project: RM2,000,000.00
I. Still short of (G – H) : RM 286,256.18(-)
You would notice from the above table that we are still short of RM286,256.18 from the estimated costs for the Church Building Project.
For your information, after the Chinese New Year Thanksgiving Service, we had visited the homes of most of our Church members in Pekan Gurney and Sitiawan to raise donations for the Building Fund. We thank God for inspiring and touching the hearts of our Church members as well as many brothers and sisters and friends to donate and/or pledge to
donate generously towards our Building Fund. Your generosity and kind support has not only overwhelmed and humbled us, it has also enabled us to witness first hand how truly you love God and care for the works of His kingdom. We could not have been more assured that this is indeed a project sanctioned by God and that God is behind us all the way.
We are now trying to contact outstation members and friends to raise donations for our Building Fund. We sincerely hope you could donate or make a pledge to donate to this worthy cause. This could be a “once in a lifetime opportunity” for us to make our contribution to expand our “mother Church”.
You may make your donation to our Building Fund in one single payment or multiple or instalment payments. You may make your donation by any of the following mode of payments:-
- via cash payment (Note: Please do not send your cash payment by post)
- via cheque or bank draft made payable to “Trinity Methodist Church Building Fund”
- via direct bank in or fund transfer to our savings account in AmBank under the name of “Trinity Methodist Church Building Fund” and under account number 184-001-008503-0.
We encourage you to make a donation pledge indicating the total amount and the payment timing of your donation to enable us to ascertain in advance the amount of funds that we could raise so that we could plan further fund raising activities and time the progress of the construction works more efficiently. We also enclose herewith a copy of the Donation Pledge Form for your further action. Even if you do not wish to make any donation or donation pledge, we hope you could still fill-up your personal particulars including your correspondence address and contact number to enable us to keep in touch with you and keep you updated of the latest progress in the New Building Project and our Church’s other activities.
If you have already donated and/or pledged to donate to our Building Fund, we hope you could assist us further by informing your relatives, church members and friends about our Church Building Project. The details of our Church Building Project is set out in our earlier newsletter dated 12.1.2008. You could visit our Church website at

Lastly, we hope you could continue to pray for the success of our Church Building Project.
